I remember being super excited to sign up for Girl Scouts at kindergarten registration, only to find out that we weren't about to start a troop yet due to us not having a volunteer leader. In result, I had to wait until first grade to join. Eventually two moms stepped up, and we were able to start Brownie Troop 270 at South Point Elementary.
For four years I sold cookies, attended monthly meetings, went to camp, earned badges, and most importantly made great memories with some great friends.
Throughout my time in Girl Scouts, I attended numerous events and was able to experience things I never would have gotten the chance to otherwise. At camps we learned about other cultures, made crafts, and learned about the outdoors.
A lot of these skills I have brought into my teenage life without even realizing it. Without those four years of me being a Girl Scout, I wouldn't have been able to soak up so much knowledge as just a little kid, most of the time I didn't even realize I was learning. I would recommend Girl Scouts to any girl looking for adventure and good memories!
