More and more people all over our nation seem to be doing these things daily.
The more I think about it, the more it drives me crazy that people do these simple tasks everyday without even thinking about what the consequences are. People definitely don’t think before they act, and that can be crucial.
Ask yourself a question. Is my life worth it? The answer is YES. Your life is way more important than texting or drinking while driving. Think about your family when you are getting into your car and not buckling up. Think of that one innocent person you could hit because you were answering that one simple text message.
At the time, you might not think it’s a big deal, but it is a huge deal. Everyday we hear of accidents caused by people not paying attention in their car or being too intoxicated to walk, much less drive. One day that might be you.
As a teenager, I still have a lot to learn, but learning these simple things that can easily save my life will stick with me forever.
When you get into a car, PLEASE think and be smart. No one wants to get that call saying that their loved one has been in a accident. Buckle up. Put your phone down. Don’t drink and drive. In the long run, it will save your life.
