This was the last feature story I worked on in Blue Jay Journal TV. I think Jared and I did a good job with a sensitive topic. We approached this topic fairly and with sensitivity. I am glad we were able to feature a group at our school that doesn’t always get the recognition and respect they deserve.
I love making PSAs, and this PSA was by far my favorite of my BJJTV career. I love the humor we added, and I think that made the PSA very entertaining. When I pick up an unhealthy food, I sometimes imagine a food slapper knocking the food out of my hands and giving me a healthier treat. I hope you do that too after watching this PSA, too!
We produced this story about Claire and the Scheer Family for the MIPA Broadcast Feature challenge. The topic we were given was “The High Price of Healthcare.” We found really interesting characters that could attest to the topic in a way that not a lot of other people could. I am a friend of the Scheer Family, so I loved getting to tell their story. I hope you enjoy!
I’ve had a great time the last three years as a BJJTV staffer, and I will definitely miss it next year. I am so thankful for the opportunities Blue Jay Journal TV has provided me with. I will always look back on my time on staff with fond memories.
For the last time ever, this is Molly Landolt blogging for Blue Jay Journal TV.
