Tip #1 Never Forget Sunscreen
Summer is a prime time to get outside and be active. Most of us realize that being out in the sun all day can wreak havoc on our skin, but we don't always take the warnings seriously. Sunscreen is extremely important, especially if you want to avoid wrinkles when you're older and possibly skin cancer. My suggestion is a moisturizer and sunscreen in one, Cetaphil. It is amazingly hydrating and great for sensitive skin! To keep your lips protected, Carmex lip balm is wonderful.
Tip #2 Less is More
If your day consists of going out in the blazing heat all day, sometimes a full face of makeup can melt off within 30 minutes. If you're looking for makeup that gives you somewhat full coverage that won't melt off your face, I'd opt for some concealer and a water-based foundation to hide blemishes. My recommendations include: Urban Decay's Naked Skin concealer and Tarte's Rainforest of the Sea foundation. The foundation also has SPF 15 in it. It's basically a tinted sunscreen. To top it off, Urban Decay's All Nighter setting spray works MIRACLES! Your makeup won't be going anywhere.
Tip #3 Bake it and Make it Last All Day
To people who aren't schooled in the world of makeup, baking your face may sound a bit strange. Baking, by makeup definition, means putting loose powder on areas of your face you want your makeup to look matte and leaving it there until your face is "baked" and you're good to go! It seriously works wonders.
Tip #4 A Bit of Blush Goes A Long Way
Even if you've got that summer glow, a little blush helps put a little life back in your face. Just make sure not to use too much or else you'll look sunburnt, and nobody wants that. It's the perfect way to achieve a no-makeup-makeup look with little to no effort!
Tip #5 Do You
There are no rules to makeup. Seriously, whether you're a boy or a girl (or non-conforming), makeup is for everyone. Do what you do best! Don't care about what other people think, just go for it! And don't forget, blend blend blend!
