Here is a list of the my top three most memorable things about this year:
#3 Hosting BJJTV
The first time I hosted Blue Jay Journal TV, I was so excited! Molly Landolt and I hosted Show #4 this year and, believe me, I memorized my lines. I can seriously still recite my lines that I memorized. They are completely irrelevant now, but they embarrassingly mean something to me. That, and I said them so many times that they are just forever embedded into my head.
#2 MIPA J-Day
It's basically just a super-fun day filled with talented people who teach you about Journalism. Then, at the end of the day, they award the top students in the state.
I took home honors for the following:
#1. "Angel of Hope" I produced with Molly Eckelkamp and Emma Jones,.
#2. "Meet our Local Comfort Dog: Sheba" I produced with Emma Jones and Morgan Riegel
#3. A story I did with Morgan Riegel and Jade Ruether called "Improvements in the Parking Lots"
#4. An anti-bullying PSA called "If You Couldn't Say it to their Face, Why Say it at All?" that I worked on also with Morgan Riegel and Jade Ruether
It was exciting to receive credit and be awarded for something that I worked on, because I really wasn't expecting to get anything at all.
#1 My BJJTV Family
Every person in my class is truly amazing, and I'm excited to see what they all will achieve in the future. The best part of my day is walking into my 5th hour and working with such a kind group of people. I can't imagine a better team to be apart of, so a huge thanks to you guys for being so great!
