Whenever my older relatives talk about high school to me, they often say they wish they would have done this or they would have done that. I just always think, "What stopped you?"
I never want to regret decisions I made, or didn't make, in high school like they did.
My grandpa always stresses the importance of having as much fun as I can in high school because he never really had the chance to. He told me that he preached this to his own kids and when they got out of high school they always came to him saying, “I wish I would’ve listened to you.”
Like I said before, I never want to leave high school with regret. Right off the bat, I started looking for clubs to be apart of, sports to play, classes to take, events to go to, and just darn near everything I could do in high school.
All you really need to do in high school is find things that interest you. Try new things to find new interests and new friends.
I’m enjoying my high school experience so far. I feel by the end of it I will be glad I’m done and moving forward in life. I am hopeful that I will not want a second chance at high school because of the regrets I have. I know that school can be stressful, but it’s only four years of your life, so make it count.
