As Varsity cheerleaders, my team and I have been working extremely hard to get ready for our regional competition that will take place in July.
Although it is incredibly tiring, we have two very important people who keep us going and push us to do our best. Over the past couple of months, I've gotten to know my two coaches, Katelyn Riegel and Stephanie Sullentrup, really well. In my short time of being on the squad, I've learned that they are always there to lend an ear, give knowledgeable advice, and remind you what you are capable of.
They put up with our craziness, our tendency to talk non-stop, and our frustration because they care so much about our team as a whole. Every practice, they share words of encouragement and inspire every single girl on our team to be the best we can be at all times, not just at cheer.
Each time I step onto the mat, I not only put forward my best effort for my school, I do it for the two people who both put their best efforts into our team and the WHS cheer organization as a whole. All 19 of us girls are incredibly lucky to have them in our lives and I can't wait to see what we will accomplish this year with them by our side.
