Finding time to yourself can be challenging to achieve nowadays, but nothing rejuvenates me more than the click of a camera.
I love photography. It gives me a way to escape from reality and be in my own world. It also offers me a calm, peaceful feeling that allows me to connect with nature and my surroundings. The warm sun kissing my skin may also add to the overall relaxation. Out of everything, my favorite subject to photograph is nature. It literally grows out of the earth, which fascinates me!
With school not in session, I have plenty of time to explore outdoors. Whether I'm walking the trails of Missouri or on the beaches of the East Coast, I am always capturing the moment with a camera. I love being able to look back at moments frozen in time and remember all the memories attached to that single image.
I love photography because no two pictures are the same. Each person has their own perspective which inspires me to work on mine. I'm always thinking of new creative ways to enhance the part of nature I am shooting. I like the challenge, which is probably why I find photography so rejuvenating. It enables me to think in different ways and open my mind.
We all need time to ourselves and time to relax. Photography is my way of doing that. If you haven't found yours yet, the next time you go outdoors take the time to look around you and capture the beauty with a camera. You might like what you see.
