Not only can drowsy driving increase the chances of an accident due to falling asleep behind the wheel, it also could lead to injuries at work. Being sleep deprived also makes you more vulnerable to depression, a weak immune system, and memory issues.
A good way to combat this problem is to get enough sleep. The recommended amount of sleep an adult should get is seven to nine hours of sleep. Teens are encourages to get eight to ten hours of sleep.
Get in the groove of having good sleeping habits. Make sure to turn your phone's screen downwards (or off) so it can't distract you from sleeping. Make an effort to go to bed earlier. Restrict your caffeine intake in the afternoons and evenings too.
I don't know about you, but I sure am looking forward to a good night's rest and feeling great the next morning. Let's make this a habit for all of us.
